Galaxy Personal Cover Plans

Galaxy is offering to its Galaxy card holders, the Galaxy Card and Merchandise Protection Plan and the Galaxy Lost Card Protection Plan. Please feel free to browse this site for more information.

Galaxy Card and Merchandise Protection Plan
The outstanding balance of the Galaxy customer’s account will be settled, up to R15 000, in the event that the customer and/or his/her partner is retrenched or dies.

An additional R2 500 is paid out if the insured person dies as a result of an accident.

Plus, up to R15 000 is paid out should your purchase (with a minimum value of
R1 000) be lost or damaged within 7 days of purchase using your Galaxy card.

Galaxy Lost Card Protection Plan
You will be indemnified against the fraudulent use of your Galaxy card as a result of it being lost or stolen, up to R15 000, on any amount owing on your Galaxy account

Galaxy staff in-store are able to offer the Personal Cover Plans to customers and inform them of the procedures, documentation and communication channels to "VA” (see below) in order for them to find out about, apply for and claim on the Plans.

VA Risk Management (Pty) Ltd
VA is the Administrator of the Personal Cover Plans on behalf of Galaxy, and is responsible for communication to customers on all aspects of the Plans, via a number of channels. (See Galaxy and VA contact details on the bottom of each page on this web site).

Guardrisk Insurance Company Limited
Guardrisk Insurance Company Limited is the insurance company underwriting the  Galaxy Personal Cover Plans and VA administers and manages all  Galaxy customer communication, procedures, applications and claims on behalf of Guardrisk Insurance Company Limited.
